SIBUR and Gazprom Neft to develop polypropylene production in Omsk

SIBUR and Gazprom Neft have consolidated 100% of the authorised capital in Poliom, a polypropylene plant in Omsk. Sibgazpolimer, a joint venture of the two companies, has signed an agreement to acquire a 50% stake in Poliom from the Titan Group.

SIBUR acts as an environmental partner for Silk Way Rally 2019

The Silk Way Rally is a major competition among global rally raids. In 2019, the rally kicked off in Irkutsk, with contestants expected to complete ten stages and cover high-speed sections in Eastern Siberia, boreal forests of Russia, roads in Mongolian grasslands, plains of China, and sands of the Goby Desert. SIBUR prevented the loss of 186 tonnes of plastic pellets into the environment in 2018
The pan-European trade association PlasticsEurope published a report on its Operation Clean Sweep international programme designed to prevent the loss of plastic pellets into the environment during production and logistics processes. It involves more than 500 companies that account for around 98% of the plastics value chain. Over the past three years, the number of participants has doubled.
