Board of Directors

The responsibilities of the Board of Directors include the strategic oversight of the Group’s business activities in compliance with the Federal Law “On Joint Stock Companies” and SIBUR’s Charter.

The Board of Directors determines SIBUR’s strategic priorities, approves annual and long-term business plans and annual investment programs, oversees the Group’s financial activities and internal controls, and offers recommendations on dividend payments.

The Board nominates key executives to the Management Board, oversees their performance in implementing the Group’s business plans, evaluates results and determines appropriate remuneration.

Was born in Moscow in 1970. Dmitry has been leading SIBUR as CEO since 2006 and as Chairman of the Management Board of SIBUR Holding since 2018.

In 1994, he graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University) with a degree in International Economic Relations, and in 2001, he gained an MBA from IMD (International Institute for Management Development).

Before joining SIBUR in 2004 and being appointed CEO of the company in 2006, he held various positions at Trust and Investment Bank and the Treasury Department of Yukos Oil Company.

Over the recent few years, Dmitry has served various management roles and sat on boards of various major Russian oil and gas, construction, and transportation companies.

During his career span, Dmitry received a number of awards and commendations, such as the Order of Honour, two Letters of Appreciation from the President of the Russian Federation, the badge of honour of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (its highest award), the Russian Federation Government Science and Technology Award and the Order of Merit Decoration for Distinguished Service to the Tyumen Region.

Outside work Dmitry enjoys academic, sporting and social activities. He is a basketball lover and the founder of SIBUR’s corporate basketball league. Dmitry is member of boards of trustees at MGIMO University, the Russian Basketball Federation, Graduate School of Management of St Petersburg University, and Gubkin National University of Oil and Gas.

From 1979: Deputy General Director of the state-owned farm Narmonsky, then Head of Department and later Deputy General Director of the Baumansky Regional Food Trade Organisation of Kazan (Baumansky Raypishchetorg). From 1986: Head of the machine and tractor station of Tatrybprom (Tatar fish production sector); from 1987 to 1991, worked as the Deputy General Director for construction, supply and sales.

Ksenia has more than a 16-year background in the packaging business and held different management positions in international companies, including the position of managing director.

In 2013, Ksenia Sosnina joined International Paper as IP Russia President. She was responsible for all operations of the company, including manufacturing, sales, and business development. Ksenia was member of the IP EMEA lead team (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and represented International Paper in the joint venture, JSC Ilim Group.

Since June 2015: member of the Board of Directors of Ilim Group.

Since June 2016: CEO of Ilim Group.
